Overview

Department of Computer Applications, established in 2002 with the vision of imparting top-notch education in the field of computer applications useful for bridging the gap between academic and Industry. The Department executes a well-planned syllabus accompanied with topics covered beyond syllabus to gratify the needs of changing technology. The department of Computer Applications was established with an intake of 60 students and presently with strength of 120. The department is excelled with good faculty and well equipped laboratories. It has an association named MACRAME which encourages students to take part in various events. “OMNIS” an annual magazine has released by the department..

After completion of the program, a successful graduate will be able to:

Apply mathematical foundation, computing and domain knowledge for the conceptualization of computing model of problems.

Identify, analyze the computing requirements of a problem and Solve them using computing principles

Design and Evaluate a computer based system, components and process to meet the specific needs of applications.

Use current techniques and tools necessary for complex computing practices.

Use suitable architecture or platform on design and implementation with respect to performance.

Commit to cyber regulations and responsibilities in Professional and computing practices.

Take up societal, environmental, health, legal, ethical issues within local and global contexts and the consequential responsibilities relevant to professional practice.

Identify opportunities and use innovative ideas to create value and wealth for the betterment of the individual and society.

Use knowledge to analyze, interpret the data and synthesis the information to derive valid conclusions using research methods.

Demonstrate in developing applications with required domain knowledge.
