AGRI INNOVATION SUMMIT 2024
Empowering Innovation and Collaboration
The Agri Innovation Summit 2024 kicked off with an inspiring and engaging Day 1, bringing together experts, scholars, and industry leaders to explore the future of agriculture and technology. The event featured insightful inaugural speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions designed to promote collaboration and knowledge- sharing.
The summit began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and prayers, followed by impactful inaugural speeches. Shri K.V.V. Satyanarayana Raju, Chancellor of GGU, Shri K. Sasi Kiran Varma, Pro-Chancellor, Dr. U. Chandrasekhar, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, Director General of R&D and Innovation at KIIT, emphasized the importance of R&D in solving agricultural challenges. Dr. P.V. Kadole, Director of RIT, discussed integrating technology with traditional practices, while Dr. M. Seshu Madhav highlighted the need for collaboration, policy reforms, and innovations in agriculture. Dr. Kadam, Chairman of K.K. Herbals, also contributed to the session.
Panel Discussion
A stimulating panel discussion on "Bridging Traditional Knowledge and Modern Innovation" explored how traditional agricultural practices can be integrated with modern technologies. Key panelists included Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, Dr. P.V. Kadole, Dr. M. Seshu Madhav, Dr. Kadam K.R., Dr. I. Bheema Lingeswara Reddy, and Dr. Ameet Chavan, who shared their insights on innovation, research, and policy frameworks in agriculture.
Keynote Addresses
The day also featured keynote addresses by Dr. Srirangam Mathew, Dr. B. Sri Ram Murty, Dr. Anitha, Dr. T. Srinivas, and Dr. Ch. Apparao, each highlighting critical aspects of agricultural innovation.

Inauguration of the GGU-ICAR Center for Research Excellence
The inauguration of the GGU-ICAR Center for Research Excellence marked a significant milestone in fostering agricultural research and innovation. The center, a collaborative initiative between Godavari Global University (GGU) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), was officially launched on December 20, 2024, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries and academic leaders.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. M. Seshu Madhav, Director of ICAR-Central Tobacco Research Institute, who officially inaugurated the center. He emphasized the critical role of research excellence in addressing pressing challenges in agriculture, particularly in the areas of climate resilience, crop improvement, and sustainable farming practices. Dr. Madhav expressed his optimism about the potential of this collaboration in making significant contributions to the agricultural sector.
Other prominent dignitaries, including Shri K.V.V. Satyanarayana Raju, Chancellor of GGU, Shri K. Sasi Kiran Varma, Pro Chancellor of GGU, and Dr. U. Chandrasekhar, Vice Chancellor of GGU, were also present at the event. They extended their support for this important initiative, highlighting the significance of academic-industry partnerships in driving innovation and research.
The GGU-ICAR Center for Research Excellence is designed to be a hub for cutting-edge agricultural research, providing a platform for students, researchers, and industry professionals to collaborate on groundbreaking solutions. AGRI INNOVATION SUMMIT 2024 (DAY 2)
AgriSummit- December 2024, a two-day event dedicated to fostering innovation and knowledge in the agricultural sector, brought together a stellar panel of resource persons who shared their expertise across a wide range of agricultural disciplines.
Dr. P. C. Vengaih, Principal Scientist (Horticulture) from Pandirimamidi, Manyam District highlighted groundbreaking advancements in horticultural techniques that can elevate productivity and sustainability.
Mr. Y. S. Naidu, DDM (NABARD) for East Godavari District, presented an insightful session on financial inclusion and support systems tailored for rural and farming communities.
Practical knowledge took center stage with Dr. V. S. G. R. Naidu, Principal Scientist at KVK, Kalavacharla, who shared field-tested strategies for sustainable farming.
Entrepreneurial insights were brought to life by Dr. Jagan Karthik, CEO of SIT, Tumkur, Karnataka, as he delved into the integration of technology and business in agriculture.
Chandrasekhar Hiramathe from Nexsys captivated the audience with his session on groundbreaking projects in the agriculture sector. His presentation emphasized the role of technology and creative thinking in solving modern agricultural challenges.
Mr Chandrasekhar showcased how innovative projects can bridge the gap between traditional farming methods and advanced solutions, empowering farmers to enhance productivity and sustainability. He highlighted successful case studies where technology-driven tools, such as IoT and AI, transformed farming practices, reduced costs, and improved efficiency.
As the AgriSummit 2024 concluded, it left participants enriched with new ideas, practical strategies, and the motivation to implement them. The gathering of these distinguished experts not only highlighted the multifaceted nature of agriculture but also reaffirmed the sector's potential as a cornerstone of India's sustainable future.

Godavari Global University (GGU) recently hosted a transformative National-level event on Generative AI & ChatGPT Applications, featuring industry experts and thought leaders. During the grand closing ceremony, Dr. L.J. Yang, Director of Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council, emphasized the growing need for a dynamic young workforce in Taiwan.
In a major announcement, GGU Chancellor Mr. K.V.V. Satyanarayana Raju revealed that GGU will be sending 30 B.Tech students to Taiwan in January 2025 for internships and job opportunities in the rapidly evolving tech industry.
National-Level Program on Generative AI Inaugurated at Godavari Global University

Godavari Global University (GGU) proudly hosted the inauguration of a prestigious National-Level Program on Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) and ChatGPT applications in higher education, attracting over 20 industry experts and AI specialists from globally renowned tech companies. The two-day program, designed to empower educators and students with foundational and advanced knowledge in AI, was presided over by GGU Chancellor Sri KVV Satyanarayana Raju (Chaitanya Raju). In his keynote address, he emphasized that such initiatives are crucial for equipping students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in a world of rapid technological change.
Pro Chancellor K. Sasikiran Varma expressed his enthusiasm about AI's transformative impact on the education sector and stated that GGU is committed to creating a leading platform for innovative learning in India. He praised the initiative as a significant step towards integrating the latest AI tools into the learning experience at GGU, enhancing the students' and faculty's engagement with emerging technologies.
The event’s distinguished keynote speaker, Dr. Raj Mruthyunjayappa, Chairman & CEO of Karishma Corporation, and Chairman of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce in Karnataka, delivered insights on the transformative role of AI in education. Dr. Raj highlighted AI’s capacity to deliver customized learning experiences and adaptive insights, marking it as the “next revolution” in education. He stressed the importance of AI literacy among students and faculty as they embark on a future where machine learning and generative AI are integral parts of professional and academic journeys.
Prashant Doreswamy, President & CEO of Continental India, spoke on AI’s application in the automotive industry, explaining how advanced algorithms are revolutionizing the design and functionality of vehicles. He further noted that upskilling in AI is essential for all engineering branches, as it enhances employability and opens doors to a range of high-demand roles.
The event also featured an interactive panel discussion led by Dr. U. Chandrasekhar, Vice Chancellor of GGU and former Scientist G at DRDO, where experts such as N.C. Shashidhar, CEO of AMS India Pvt. Ltd., shared their insights on AI applications across various industries, from healthcare to software development. The panel discussion highlighted the importance of understanding generative AI tools to produce innovative solutions that are secure, ethical, and effective.
Throughout the workshop, industry veterans delivered hands-on sessions on Gen AI applications, covering topics such as Large Language Models, real-time data analysis, and creating interactive AI-driven solutions. The sessions were designed to bridge the gap between theoretical AI concepts and practical applications, ensuring that participants gained an actionable understanding of how to leverage AI for real-world challenges.
The program, coordinated by Dr. B. Sujatha, Dr. R. Tamilkodi, and Dr. K. Vallimadhavi, stands as a testament to GGU’s dedication to fostering a future-ready generation.
