Program Highlights
The M.Pharm Pharmacology program is a two-year postgraduate degree that delves into the intricate world of pharmacology, exploring the interactions between drugs and living organisms. This specialized program equips students with advanced knowledge of pharmacological principles, enabling them to design, develop, and optimize therapeutic agents. Through a combination of theoretical and practical training, students gain expertise in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, toxicology, and clinical pharmacology. The program fosters critical thinking, research skills, and problem-solving abilities, preparing students for careers in pharmaceutical industries, research institutions, and academia. Upon completion, graduates can pursue roles such as pharmacology researcher, clinical trial manager, or regulatory affairs specialist, contributing to the development of safer and more effective medicines.

ACHIEVEMENTS
- The Department of Pharmacology at GIET School of Pharmacy has established itself as a hub of academic excellence and research since its inception in 2010. Over the past 14 years, our faculty and postgraduate students have published an impressive 81 papers in national and international journals with SCOPUS, WOS, and SCI indexing.
- Our faculty members have also made significant contributions to the field of pharmacology, with several Indian patent publications, authored books, and book chapters to their credit. To stay updated with the latest developments in the field, our faculty regularly pursue Ph.D. degrees from reputed universities and participate in faculty development programs, seminars, and workshops at the national level.
- Our students have consistently demonstrated academic excellence, with an overall pass percentage of above 90% in Pharmacology department subjects in University examinations. Many of our alumni have gone on to secure lucrative positions in top pharmaceutical companies, such as Aurobindo, Dr. Reddy's Labs, Cognizant, and Divis Labs.
- Some of our students have also pursued Ph.D. degrees from Indian and international universities, securing senior scientist positions in R&D. Additionally, several of our alumni have successfully established themselves as pharmaceutical entrepreneurs. Our department has a strong presence in national and international conferences, with our staff and students actively participating in events organized by pharmaceutical societies like IPA, IPC, IPGA, and APTI.
